News about our Rally in June.  On Saturday 17th June Glenrothes Motor Sport Club had intended to run their Summer Stages but have now decided to rename the rally The Kingdom Stages.  It's 40 years since a rally of this name was first run by Glenrothes Motor Sport Club so they felt they should mark the occasion with something a little different.  This event will still take place on the original date and along with a change of name also comes a change of format this year too.  The organisers are planning to start with a run at some stages on Crail before moving up the road to RAF Leuchars for more stages before returning to Crail and a couple more tests.  The additional venue of Leuchars will be new to most of our championship regulars so hopefully this will provide a new challenge for them as well.

It is hoped that the competitive mileage for the day will be in excess of 80 miles while there'll also be about 40 road miles.  Competitors will be able to take service during the day at both venues although there will be no spectators allowed onto the RAF base.  The organisers are hoping to publish the Supplementary Regulations by the middle of May and we expect to be able to confirm this date nearer the time and also when the online entries systems will open too.

And finally a quick update on our next qualifying round, the NHMC Warcop Stages.  This new rally opened for entries a couple of weeks ago and the organisers are pleased that entries have topped seventy even though the website only shows sixty three.  The remaining crews have completed their online entry form but haven’t made payment yet.  The event takes place on Sunday 28th May at Warcop military ranges near to Brough, and competitors can expect about 70 stage miles.  There’s more information at the event website - http://www.nhmcwarcopstages.org.uk/
